Who We Are
About Us
At I’M HIS IMAGE, we are a grassroots, family-led outreach founded by Richard Vaughn, James Vaughn, and Delores Doss. Based in Auburn, Washington, we serve those experiencing homelessness with food, clothing, transportation, hygiene care, and love. We believe every person is made in God’s image—and deserves to be treated that way.
Whether it’s a warm plate of food or a ride to get an ID, our team shows up with whatever is needed in the moment. We don’t have a storefront or flashy offices—we have working hands, open hearts, and a firm belief that dignity shouldn’t be optional.
Our Journey
This ministry began with a heart for missions. Richard Vaughn served on the ground in San Antonio’s inner city and traveled to Mexico and China to help communities in need. James Vaughn spent time serving the homeless at Skid Row in California. And Delores Doss, now 91, planted spiritual roots early by teaching her grandchildren about Jesus.
Now, that legacy continues through hands-on service here in Auburn, one of the areas hardest hit by homelessness. We go where others don’t—parks, curbsides, and alleys—and do what others won’t: offer help with no judgment, only love.
